I took part in the 2015 ISTD design brief for the Design Museum. The Design Museum is known internationally as a champion for architectural, fashion, graphic, industrial and product design. The brief was to propose a new typographic identity for the museum that included print, screen and environmental applications.
I chose to form strong, angular geometric letters to form the logo. The logo works as an adaptive design that be applied to multiple disciplines within the museum. The shape of the logo will remain the same, however the intrinsic meaning can be changed through the use of colour, imagery and motion graphics. The overall identity for the museum has been designed to stand the test of time, adopting a modern and contemporary aesthetic.
